Following our 2017 creation of "Once upon a time in Zaatari and Azraq: Tales from our refugee camps" with teachers living and working in Jordan, and the 2019 creation of "Our stories, our Syria" with children living in IDP and refugee camps in north-east Syria, this new collection, "Our Stories, Our Libya" is a series of five children’s books created through Kitabna’s story-writing workshops held in Tripoli and Benghazi in September 2021. The Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC) in partnership with Kitabna and UNICEF, supported children and teachers in Libya to explore themes of travel and cross-cultural friendships. We hope you enjoy each of our books: The Tiger of Tripoli, Anaze the Spider, Bouboune’s Journey, The City of Peace and The Magic Gate.
